Princess Cake

After quite a few boy cakes in a row, I was very excited to create a princess cake for a little princess’ fourth birthday. And what can be more girly than Barbie, pink and purple? This cake had a full size Barbie so that the birthday girl can play with her for years to come!
The cake is strawberry flavored with homemade vanilla buttercream.

Mario Cake

Ethan is one very smart 5 year old. He decided that on his actual birthday he should get another cake and party, told you he is smart. So, not being able to say no to him meant making a rush cake, less than six hours from concept to candlesJ.
Both tiers are chocolate cake with homemade chocolate buttercream. There are fondant decorations, as well as some red homemade vanilla buttercream.

Baby Shower Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for an “a new little prince” themed baby shower. The crown cupcake toppers were custom dyed to match the décor and are handmade white chocolate candies.
Half of the cupcakes were chocolate cake with homemade chocolate mousse filling and homemade chocolate buttercream. The other half was yellow cake with homemade strawberry filling and homemade vanilla buttercream.

Spongebob Cake

This cake was a long time in the making and something that I have been excited about for months. All of the decorations were handmade out of either royal icing or gumpaste, the character figurines are the only thing that is was not edible.
The bottom tier is chocolate cake with homemade chocolate mousse filling, the top tier is yellow cake with homemade strawberry filling, and the pineapple house tier is yellow cake. There is both homemade vanilla buttercream and homemade chocolate buttercream.

Spiderman Cupcakes

These Spiderman cupcakes were made for one of my favorite little now five year olds. The Spiderman faces are made out of gumpaste with hand drawn faces, they are completely edible.
The cupcakes are white cake and chocolate cake, all with homemade blue vanilla buttercream.

First Birthday Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for an adorable little girl’s first birthday. Her party was pink/black/white zebra themed, so these cupcakes fit in perfectly. The flowers were handmade out of fondant with candy pearls in the middle.
These cupcakes are white cake with pink and white homemade vanilla buttercream frosting.

Baby Shower Cupcakes

I am a strong believer that whenever possible, decorations on cakes/cupcakes should be edible. So, instead of putting baby themed toys on top of cupcakes, we molded little white chocolate candies.
The cupcakes are all yellow cake, half with homemade chocolate buttercream and half with homemade vanilla buttercream.

BBQ Cupcakes

What better dessert to have at a bbq than charcoal cupcakes with hamburger patties? I saw these cupcakes in a book and knew that I had to recreate them.

Mother's Day Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for my dear mother-in-law for Mother's Day. All of the flowers are handmade out of royal icing.
The chocolate cupcakes have homemade chocolate mousse filling and homemade chocolate buttercream. The yellow cupcakes have homemade raspberry filling and homemade vanilla buttercream.

Memorial Cake

This cake was made for a memorial service. All of the flowers are forget-me-nots and were handmade out of royal icing.
It is a yellow cake with homemade vanilla buttercream icing.

Easter Basket Cake

When it came time for Easter, I knew that I wanted to make an Easter basket cake.
The cake itself is a spice cake, and the basket weave is cream cheese frosting. The handle and top border are both made from fondant. The grass is dyed coconut and the eggs are molded white chocolate.

Cheeseburger Birthday Cake

When trying to decide what to make for dessert for my sister-in-laws birthday, I checked with my in-laws to see what we were having for dinner. After they let me know that we were BBQing burgers, I thought that there would be nothing better than a cheeseburger birthday cake.
The "bun" is yellow cake, the "patty" is chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and crushed chocolate cookies, the "cheese", "tomato", and "onion" are fondant, the "ketchup", "mustard", and "lettuce" are dyed buttercream, the "fries" are toasted cake pieces.

United Way Cupcakes

These cupcakes were made for a United Way fundraiser kick-off event.
There are chocolate cupcakes with homemade chocolate buttercream, yellow cupcakes with homemade chocolate buttercream, and red velvet cupcakes with homemade orange-cream cheese frosting.

Super Bowl Cake

This cake was a last minute request for a Super Bowl party. The football shape was hand carved, and all of the decorations were hand made.
The cake is chocolate fudge, the frosting is chocolate buttercream, the decorations are both vanilla buttercream and royal icing.

The cake that started it all

This pizza cake was made for a family pizza making party. It is the first "creative cake" I made, and was the jumping off point for the business.

The "crust" is yellow cake, the "sauce" is homemade raspberry jam, the "cheese" is piped white chocolate.
